WHICH JEWELRY METAL IS HYPOALLERGENIC

Hypoallergenic METAL is a metal that is not LIKELY to cause an allergic reaction.  I say LIKELY because there can always be that little chance of mixed metals that might set off your allergies.  The best are pure metals that are totally hypoallergenic.

ALLERGIC REACTION:

Allergic reaction is when your ear or skin gets red, hot, itchy, dry patches, cracked or even blisters.

BEST METAL HYPOALLERGENIC IS:

  • - PLATINUM:  because its natural properties doesn’t require to be mixed with other metals like alloy
  • - PALLADIUM because its cheaper but it needs to be mixed because its not that dense
  • - 24K Gold
  • - Rodium
  • - Sterling Silver- 92.5 pure silver alloy the other part is mixed with other metal
  • - HIGH GRADE STAINLESS STEEL
  • - TITANIUM

NOTE:  NICKEL is commonly used in mixing with metals and a lot of people are mostly allergic to that metal.  REMEMBER it is the quantity released from an item not the amount of nickel in the item!

Metals with least amount of Nickel is:

  • High grade stainless steel
  • Titanium
  • Solid Gold(not plated)
  • Solid Silver(not plated)
  • Solid Platinum (not plated)
